Who We are

CWC members write novels, short stories, screen plays , poetry, nonfiction articles, books and more. More than half of our members  are published.

 

We are a 501(c)(6) nonprofit and one of 22 branches in the state. Our state organization is a 501(c)(3) and that website is www.calwriters.org

MEETING LOCATION  

 
The April 8 meeting will take place at Aurora Theater/My Acting Studio, 4412 E. Village Rd., Long Beach 90808  Check in and networking starts at 2:00 pm. The speaker program is from 3:00-5:00 pm. 
Limited seating is available for members, speaker's guests and registered visitors.

Gustavo Hernandez

"How Setting Amplifies Writing"

Gustavo Hernandez is the author of with Flower Grand First (Moon Tide Press 2021), a collection of poems that one reviewer described as “a triumphant poetry collection that reads like a hero’s journey.” Gustavo also authored the micro-chapbook, Form His Arms (Ghost City Press) and his poems have been published in The Night Heron Banks, Rattle, Word Riot, Impossible Archetype #3, and Acentos Review.

We are making final arrangements for a permanent meeting venue to be officially announced on this website on April 9. Please check back then.
